1

1st Day – THURSDAY - CAGLIARI

Arrival and meeting with the tour leader, welcome and private transfer to the 4 or 5 stars Hotel. Check in and time to relax. Lunch in Hotel. In the afternoon guided visit to Cagliari City Centre, The Cathedral, The Towers and The Castle district. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Hotel. 2nd Day – FRIDAY – CAGLIARI - SERDIANA

Breakfast in Hotel. Morning dedicated to the Holy Week. Since the 17th century the Holy Week rites of Cagliari have enabled the devotee to relive the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ, visit to Stampace district with its churches. Guided visit to The Archaeology Museum in Cagliari, it was founded in 1800. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to town of Serdiana, where Pala has its cellar. Visit to the cellar and wine tasting. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Hotel.

3rd Day – SATURDAY – CAGLIARI - NORA

Breakfast in Hotel. Transfer to Nora, an ancient Roman and pre-Roman town near Cagliari. Guided visit to one of Sardinia most important archaeological sites founded by the Phoenician in the 8th century BC. Lunch in a local agritourism/ restaurant. After lunch visit to Civic Archaeological Museum “Giovanni Patroni” in the nearby town Pula. Transfer, to Cagliari and free time for relax and shopping. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.

4th Day – SUNDAY - DESULO – SORGONO – SANTU LUSSURGIU

After breakfast, check out and departure to Desulo town to assist at one of the most important procession with its ancient tradition, the Palm Sunday. It is considered one of the most evocative processions of Holy Week in Sardinia. This ancient tradition takes place on Palm Sunday, the women parade wearing the colorful traditional costumes, among the most beautiful in Sardinia, and carry finely intertwined palms in their hands. Lunch in a local agritourism at San Mauro based in the Mandrolisai region. Afternoon dedicated to one of the best vineries of the Mandrolisai: Fradiles, wine tasting. 5th Day – MONDAY – SANTU LUSSURGIU

Breakfast in hotel. Morning dedicated to the Sardinian bread cooking class. Bread has always been a major product in Sardinia, both as a quality food and for its ritual mean-ing, the protagonist is the PANE PINTAU (Bread ↵). The dough is artistically shaped for special occasions and ceremonies. In the cooking lesson you learn about processing local semolina wheat, prepare the dough and try your hand at decorating breads, everything guided by a local hand’s expert. Lunch in Hotel. In the afternoon visit to a local distillery. Distillates tasting of the most known Sardinian liqueurs. Dinner and overnight stay at Antica Dimora Del Gruccione Hotel***.

6th Day TUESDAY – PAULILATINO – SANTU LUSSURGIU

Breakfast in hotel. Visit to Nuraghe Losa. The original name, nurache 'e losas, means' nuraghe of the tombs', and refers to the Roman cinerary urns carved into the rock outcropping on the edge of the area in which it stands. Transfer to Paulilatino Town and visit to the Sacred Well of Santa Cristina, it is the most representative sacred well of the island where stories, legends and truths are intertwined. The temple of Santa Cristina is the highest architectural expression of the Nuragic civilization dating back to around 3000 years ago. Lunch in a local agritourism. Back to Santulussurgiu and visit to an artisan company of knives, the workshop that practices the blacksmith's art. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.

7th Day – WEDNESDAY – CABRAS – THARROS - CAGLIARI

After breakfast, check out and departure for the Sinis Region. On the central-western coast of the Island, there is an unspoilt paradise recognized by the European Commission as an 'Eden' destination of excellence, a unique natural setting where you can enjoy any outdoor activity throughout the year. Visit to Tharros: a Nuragic settlement, a Phoenician centre of commerce, a Carthaginian fortress, a Roman urbs, a Byzantine administrative centre and capital of Arborea! In Tharros, you will find more than two thousand years of history and Mostra dei Giganti di Monti Prama. Visit to Museo Civico Giovanni Marongiu. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to Cagliari. Arrival and check in to the 4 or 5 stars Hotel. Afternoon dedicated to the Holy Wednesday “the Vestizione”, the sisters of the Most Holy Crucifix dress in mourning the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows which takes place in the Oratory of the Holy Crucifix. 8th Day – THURSDAY – BARUMINI – GERGEI - CAGLIARI

Breakfast in Hotel. Departure to Barumini in the centre of the Marmilla region. Visit to Su Nuraxi, the only archaeological site in Sardinia de-clared a UNESCO World Heritage Site (1997). Not only is it the most impressive (and most well-preserved) of the thirty Nuragic sites, but it is, above all, the most precious inheritance left to us by the Nuragic civilization. Transfer to Gergei and lunch at Is Perdas Agriturismo. In the afternoon visit to Olianas Estate, visit to the winery and wine tasting amongst the beauty of the vineyard. Olianas has a philosophy based on re-specting the environment, nature and the people who live there. Transfer to Cagliari and dedication to the the Crucifixion. They nail the simulacrum of Christ to the cross. These rites are always followed by the adoration of Christ, while the women bring Is Nenneris to the church, the wheat sprouted in the dark on a plate, symbol of Death and Resurrection. The same ceremony also takes place in the church of San Giovanni, seat of the Arch-confraternity of Solitude. From the church of Sant'Efisio, seat of the brotherhood of the Gonfalone in the Stampace district, the procession of the Seven Churches starts in which the statue of Sant Efisio listed in mourning (with a black plume) enters the various churches. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.

9th Day – FRIDAY - CAGLIARI

Breakfast tin Hotel. Free time for relax and shopping. Free lunch. In the afternoon the most important event of the Holy Week takes place: the procession of the statue of Jesus Crucified, dominated by a canopy, moves from the church of San Giovanni to the Cathedral. Christ is also accompanied in procession by the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows, with her chest pierced by the sword of the seven pains, accompanied by two children who impersonate St. John and Mary Magdalene. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Hotel.

10th Day – SATURDAY – GONNOSTRAMATZA - CAGLIARI

After breakfast transfer to Gonnostramatza Town at Cuscusa Farm: here, you will spend an experiential morning, learning about the farm lab. Before lunch a session with the shepherd of the farm. You will then have a typical lunch with local food products at the Cuscusa farmhouse, THE SEBADAS stuffing: PECORINO. In the afternoon back to Cagliari for the rite of Su Scravamentu, the deposition of the dead Christ from the cross. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.

11th Day – SUNDAY - CAGLIARI

Breakfast at the Hotel, panoramic sightseeing of Poetto and Stagno di Molentargius. Transfer to town centre for the Easter Sunday Celebration, S'Incontru (the meeting). The reunification of the two processions with the simulacra of the Madonna and the Risen Christ: coming from opposite directions, when they find themselves facing each other, the simulacra they greet with a triple bow amid the applause of the crowd and side by side they go back to the church where mass will be celebrated. Lunch in a local restaurant. Free time for relax. dinner and overnight in Hotel.

12th Day - MONDAY – MANDAS – LACONI - CAGLIARI

After breakfast, private transfer to Mandas Town and excursion with the “Trenino Verde” (Green Train) (to be reconfirmed); route: Mandas - Laconi. Traveling on the Trenino Verde is a truly special experience, a real leap back in time to retrace the journeys of our grandparents and great-grandparents in an atmosphere where almost nothing has changed since then: unspoiled nature, evidence of a distant past, the means of locomotion. Lunch in a local agritourism. After lunch visit to archaeological sites in the area. There is a Museum in the town of the Menhir Dolmen and Nuraghi. Testimony of the last century are instead the Castle and the Park of Aymerich and the memory of the humble friar St. Ignatius of Laconi, sanctified by Pope Pius XII. In the evening typical dinner accompanied with a folklore show with traditional dances and songs. Back to the Hotel and overnight stay.

13th Day – TUESDAY - CAGLIARI

After breakfast, private transfer to the airport. End of our services.
