1st Day, ARRIVAL TO SARDINIA
Arrival at Cagliari airport in the afternoon, meet the tour leader, welcome and private transfer to the 4 or 5 stars Hotel. Check-in, free time to relax and to familiarize with the destination. You will end the first day with a typical dinner in a local restaurant in Cagliari city centre. Overnight stay in Hotel.
02nd Day, ST. PETER’S ISLAND AND THE SULCIS IGLESIENTE
Breakfast in Hotel. Transfer to the “Sulcis Iglesiente” region. Visit of a local Winery to discover the Carignano wines. Time for " Su Murzu" nibbling of local products and wine tasting. Transfer to Calasetta and embark for Carloforte Island. Arrival and transfer to a local restaurant to savor the delights of this magical island. After lunch visit of the old part of the town. Transfer to Carbonia in the late afternoon where you will end the day at Lu Hotel****. Dinner and overnight stay.
03rd Day, THE LOW SULCIS AND THE FOOD CULTURE IN SARDINIA
Breakfast in Hotel and check out. Departure to Nuxis Town. Here, you will visit and have lunch at Letizia, a restaurant with a kitchen and perfumes lab. In the afternoon, transfer to the Mining Rosas Village set in a splendid natural setting in Narcao Town and visit of the Mining Village. Return to Carbonia. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.
04th Day, THE MARMILLA AND CAMPIDANO AREAS, BETWEEN SHEPHERDS AND WINEMAKERS
Breakfast in Hotel, check out and transfer to Gonnostramatza Town at Cuscusa Farm: here, you will spend an experiential morning, learning about the farm lab. You will then have a typical lunch with local food products at the Cuscusa farmhouse. In the afternoon wine tasting typical Sardinian wines. Dinner with local products at Is Perdas Agriturismo. Overnight stay in Gergei Town at Is Perdas Farmhouse Resort & Glamping Tents Gergei.
5th Day, THE MANDROLISAI, BETWEEN LOCAL PRODUCTS AND ARTISANS
After breakfast check out and departure to Tonara Town. Visit to Campanacci Laboratory, at the Floris Lab. After the first lab transfer, a short visit to the small torrone confectionery lab before lunch at “Locanda del Muggianeddu” in Tonara (NU). In the afternoon departure to Fonni Town heading to the Hotel and during the journey you will stop by for a break. You will end the day with a light dinner (local products tasting). Overnight stay at Cualbu Hotel*** Fonni.
6th Day, THE BARBAGIA AREA, MASKS AND TRADITIONS
Breakfast in Hotel, transfer to the town centre of Fonni to learn about its traditional “Masks” (Sos Urthos e Buttudos), which represent the daily struggle of man against the elements of nature. S'Urthu, the bear, is dressed in black or white sheep/goat skins, has a large cowbell tied to his neck, his face blackened by charred cork ("s'inthiveddu"), and is kept on a leash with a noisy chain of iron. Sos Buttudos wear an orbace coat over velvet dresses, leather boots and leggings, and on their shoulder’s cowbells ("sonaggias"). You will then move to Gavoi Town (where the typical “Carnevale” mask is Sos Tumbarinos) and walk around its distinctive historic center. You will have lunch in Gavoi at “Santa Rughe” restaurant. In the afternoon, you will transfer to Ottana, to see local traditional masks Boes and Merdules. In the evening transfer to Fonni. Dinner and Overnight stay in Hotel.
Breakfast in Hotel. You will start the morning with a walking visit to Fonni. Next, you will move to Nuoro/Orgosolo , where you will walk around the town center and explore local artisanship traditions. You will have lunch at Rifugio restaurant in Nuoro Town. In the afternoon transfer to Mamoiada, where you will visit the “Mascheraio” (a local mask artisan lab) and experience the unique traditional festival with the “first release of the masks” in Mamoiada. Dinner in a local restaurant. Transfer to Fonni and overnight stay in Hotel.
After breakfast and check out you will transfer in the heart of Sardinia and visit the Nuraghe Losa (megalithic monument dating back to Nuragic era). Next, you will explore the “Basilica della SS Trinità di Saccargia” in Codrongianus Village. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, transfer to the Gallura region, where you will visit of Aggius Hamlet. In the evening, you will settle in a typical farmhouse. Dinner and overnight stay at Farmhouse Muto di Gallura in Aggius Hamlet.
9th Day, GALLURA, BERCHIDDA & THE MURALS OF TINNURA
Breakfast and transfer to Berchidda town. Visit of the Wine Museum and discover the region of the Vermentino and Cagnulari. Wine tasting and nibbles of local products. Departure to Tresnuraghes Town with a brief stop to Tinnura Hamlet to admiral the murals which represent Sardinia culture and tradition. Lunch in a local restaurant/agritourism. in the afternoon transfer to the Oristano region. Dinner and overnight stay in 3 or 4 stars Hotel.
Breakfast and transfer to the Sinis region and walk around “San Giovanni di Sinis and Tharros”. Lunch in a local restaurant in Cabras Town, the reign of the Bottariga Seafood ↵.
After lunch visit to Monte Prama Museum. In the late afternoon wine tasting in a local winery estate. Dinner and overnight stay in 3 or 4 stars Hotel in the Oristano region.
11th Day MEDIO CAMPIDANO AREA, BETWEEN SWEET TREATS AND ARTISANSHIP
After breakfast transfer to San Gavino to visit “Murales”. Here, you will visit a sweet confectionery lab. You will then transfer to Arbus and have a typical lunch in a farmhouse. In the afternoon visit to the “knives” museum and transfer to Cagliari. Free time to discover the city and free dinner at your leisure. Overnight stay at 4 or 5 stars Hotel.
12th Day OGLIASTRA AREA: ULASSAI, BETWEEN THE “TACCHI” MOUNTS AND THE ART OF MARIA LAI
Breakfast in Hotel. Transfer to Ulassai town: here, you will visit the Textile Cooperative Su Marmuri and the museum “Stazione dell’Arte di Maria Lai” dedicated to the Sardinian contemporary artist Maria Lai. You will have lunch in a local restaurant and in the afternoon back to Cagliari. Free time for relax. Dinner and overnight stay at 4 or 5 stars Hotel.
13th Day Cagliari, the Capital City
Breakfast in Hotel. Free day to enjoy and discover the town at your pleasure. In the evening transfer to a local restaurant to discover the delights of Sardinia. Overnight stay at 4 or 5 stars Hotel.
14th Day DEPARTURE FROM SARDINIA
Breakfast in Hotel. Check out and private transfer to the city airport. Time to say good bye to the group.
